While cleaning, my mom found this gem of a dress that she handmade to match my older sister's. It had me reminiscing about all the dresses she made two of over the years. That little gem of a smiling child is clearly me. and the hot mess holding the dress is also me what a difference a couple decades make!
I'm not saying I was the star of this picture... but I'll let the picture speaks for itself. (Note that is our once-beloved rabbit Peter being held by my permed oldest sister Tiffany)
This picture is truly a gem and shows my mother's seamstress skills in all of her glory. So. Much. Plaid.
Now this really is the best one of the bunch because it shows just how great my mom's dress making skills were. If you can't tell my sister Megan (far left) is wearing a dress featuring a ferocious dinosaur. It was absolutely her favorite dress she ever wore. She still talks about it. I am wearing my beloved Noah's Ark dress (The buttons up the back were all animals!) this is where I won the hand-me-down lottery, because Megan had an identical copy... only a few sizes larger, so I got hers and got to wear my favorite dress for several more years!
Final note: Thanks for the dresses growing up mom! as much as I give you a hard time about always matching Megan I looked good! (now how bout some adult sized robot printed jumpers *wink*)
