The Division 2 update 5.2 brings new 'Explorers' apparel event - Windows Central

Posted: 24 Sep 2019 02:40 AM PDT

As agents wait oh so (im)patiently for Title Update 6 and Episode 2 to arrive — both are slated for October — there's a new, smaller update to entertain until then. Title Update 5.2 is rolling out today with a brand new apparel event known as "Explorers."

Some of the regional Division 2 social media accounts have been teasing the new threads over the past week, and it seems like there are three to choose from. There's the Aviator, Paratrooper and Trapper. An astronaut was previously teased but it appears this is a special reward that you can only obtain by completing all other items in the Explorers cache. Other items available include emotes, masks and weapon skins.

Apparel can be bought with premium credits or cache keys can be earned through completing in-game projects and events. The event has two weeks to run, so there's plenty of time to try and get hold of them all. There are no duplicate items in Explorers cache boxes.

Also being rolled out as part of 5.2 are a series of fixes for both PC and console. The full maintenance notes read as follows:

  • Made improvements when using the game with DirectX 12.
  • Fixed an exploit that could cause players to gain an unintended amount of armor.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause the client to crash when navigating the Map Menus on console.
  • Apparel Event #4 - Explorers will be live after the maintenance has ended! More information can be found in an upcoming article released later today.

Servers are back up and agents can jump right in and get back to the grind. For more be sure to check out Ubisoft's blog.

Telfar and Converse Collaborated on Footwear and Apparel for Spring/Summer 2020 - TeenVogue.com

Posted: 24 Sep 2019 02:22 PM PDT

Last night, Telfar held their spring/summer 2020 show as the opener for Paris Fashion Week at La Cigale, where the brand's upcoming collaboration with Converse made its debut. The capsule collection includes both footwear and apparel inspired by Converse's basketball heritage and silhouettes, reimagined in conjunction with Telfar's core design principles of inclusivity, innovation, and non-gender specificity.

A standout from the collab includes the Pro Leather, which received a "disruptive interpretation," according to the brand. First introduced in 1976 as a basketball sneaker, it's been reimagined into a slip-on silhouette. Also reconfigured is the ERX, a basketball-style staple of the '80s, which has been reworked into a sandal. While perhaps the most iconic Converse sneaker, the Chuck 70, was also on the runway with its traditional canvas transformed into a tee. The signature Converse star can be seen reimagined on a tee and sweatshirt as well.

First established by Telfar Clemens in 2004 out of New York City, the non-gendered brand features 100% unisex items, "without the ornament of gender, race, class; high and low; male or female," the brand states. Of the show last night, the brand said in a statement: "The aim of this show is the same as that of the brand. In an era of representation we insist on presence. In the era of inclusivity, we cannot be content to be included in someone else's world. Our project is to build a world of our own and the process and the result are indistinguishable. Our customers are our collaborators and our cousins are our customers."

The collection will be available for purchase next season.

PAQ Venture into the Apparel Game with the Launch of 'Ways of Seeing' - Complex

Posted: 24 Sep 2019 06:05 AM PDT

PAQ steps out from behind the screen to launch their new clothing line in the form of 'Ways of Seeing'.

Streetwear fans worldwide will be familiar with the name PAQ, the four-strong team leading the pack in the niche realm of streetwear-focused entertainment media. Alongside the creative minds at Kyra TV, Elias, Danny, Dex, and Shaq have opened the doors to a new way of digesting streetwear related content, stripping back the ultra-seriousness adopted by many within the industry, using their platform to inject high-octane fun back into the game. Given the huge success the team has enjoyed, it was only a matter of time until they combined their creative energies to provide fans with some slick merch, and that time has finally come.

Ways Of Seeing is the name that lends itself to the boys first apparel venture, a name that lends itself to the celebration of individuality and self-expression, representative of the community they have cultivated, all the while giving something back to their loyal fanbase. The initial drop is comprised of premium unisex tees, hoodies, and accessories, each of which features some seriously icy graphics that put the drop toe-to-toe with some of streetwear's high flyers, cementing the collection as a strong stride towards an exciting future.

Speaking on the inspiration behind Ways of Seeing, PAQ Host Danny Lomas commented: "Us four boys have such individual styles that trying to create something that would serve all of us in one go seemed impossible, what we came to realise is that PAQ has always been bigger than the four individuals on the show, it's about the community that we have built around it. This was our way of giving something back to that community, a uniform for the PAQ fans."

In celebration of the collection's launch, PAQ hosted a packed London pop-up that welcomed fans to get their hands on exclusives one-off colourways, incense from London scent brand Cre(m)ate, early access to the full lineup, and the opportunity to meet the team. Posted: 24 Sep 2019 05:45 AM PDT

DUBLIN--()--The "Product Lifecycle Management In Apparel Market to 2027 - Global Analysis and Forecasts by Type; End-User" report has been added to ResearchAndMarkets.com's offering.

The global product lifecycle management in apparel market accounted for US$ 644.1 Mn in 2018 and is expected to grow at a CAGR of 12.5% over the forecast period 2019-2027, to account for US$ 1,825.3 Mn by 2027.

The global retail industry is highly competitive and dynamic industry requiring retailers, manufacturers, and brands to innovate faster, provide products at competitive prices, and improve their brand equity. Increase in population growth and an upsurge in per capita spend across both emerging, and advanced economies are contributing to a remarkable change in the demand-and-supply equation. In the apparel industry, styles are short-term, so retailers, manufacturers, and brands strive to launch new product offerings every season to remain in intense competition. To remain in the competition, the apparel industry needs PLM software that is flexible, agile, user-friendly, and customizable.

Product lifecycle management software plays an important role in the automation of apparel designing and manufacturing. Automation and technological advancements are significantly transforming how products are manufactured. The new era of manufacturing is currently noticeable in the apparel industry, where machines are both processing and filling orders, which has also become an industry trend. Automation is allowing businesses to save money and gain efficiencies.

Currently, there is a shift from traditional manufacturing to digital manufacturing, which allows businesses to plan and implement the lifecycle of a product digitally. This transition has led to the development of digital manufacturing where smart machines are deployed in the apparel manufacturing factories, which carry out the entire production process without any human interference. Digital manufacturing helps to eliminate product wastage, downtime, delays, and defects. The processes of digital manufacturing, such as conception, design, planning, and execution, need wide use of PLM software such as CAD and CAM, which predicts the growth of the market. Hence, the rise in digital manufacturing in the apparel industry is expected to boost the demand for robust and reliable PLM and thus drive the growth of product lifecycle management in the apparel market during the forecast period.
