Maddie Rooney denied Canada's last-gasp chance and put Team USA atop the podium at the Winter Olympics, but there's another puck she hasn't yet had the chance to stop.
On The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the U.S women's hockey team goalie issued a shootout challenge to pop star and hockey hobbyist Justin Bieber.
"I want to go stop his shot," Rooney said, after revealing the Team Bieber shirt she was wearing underneath her jersey.
Rooney and her teammates appeared on The Tonight Show wearing the gold medals they earned in Pyeongchang. Fallon talked to Rooney, captain Meghan Duggan, Monique Lamoureux-Morando and Jocelyn Lamoureux-Davidson first before pulling back a curtain to reveal the rest of Team USA.
Duggan, a Danvers native, addressed the team's fight for equal treatment last spring. They threatened to boycott the International Ice Hockey Federation world championships if USA Hockey did not make changes. Just three days before the tournament began, the sides agreed to a new contract that met the team's demands.
"A few of us have been in our program a long time seeing things that we thought, you know, it was time to make a change," Duggan said. "Everyone's said it—it's 2018. We took a stand to make sure that women in our program were receiving the treatment that we felt was fair and we would help pave the way for the next generation of young girls as well."
Fallon admired the team's new silverware, wondered if the medals were affecting their posture, and said he'd never take his off.
"Do you wear that if you go to Starbucks?" Fallon asked. "I would just wear it wherever I went, like, 'yeah by the way I won one of these.'"
After clearing up that Lamoureux-Morando and Lamoureux-Davidson were in fact identical twins and he 'wasn't having a stroke or something,' Fallon asked Lamoureux-Davidson about the incredible goal she scored in the shootout.
Turns out, the nickname for the move she pulled off is "Oops, I Did It Again." And unlike her fellow pop star, Britney Spears gave the Olympic hero a shout out for clinching the United States' first gold medal in the sport since 1998.

The Tonight Show was the latest stop on Team USA's victory tour, after the gold-medalists appeared as special guests at NHL games and with Ellen DeGeneres, while the Boston Pride's Hilary Knight visited Leslie Jones on SNL.
