I will be working this evening and once again missing the fireworks this year, so it was hard for me to think about manicure ideas for the holiday. Quite frankly, I thought I might skip it all together this year until I put on Serum N°5 What a Blast and got inspired. While most of my glow in the dark nail art in the past has been centered around Halloween, how awesome does a glow in the dark flag sound for the 4th? I can turn out the lights and wiggle my fingers and make my own light show...
The base of the manicure is Serum N°5 What a Blast layered over white. Using acrylic paint, I added white stars and red stripes. I didn't want a perfectly straight flag, which is why I chose to do the rough free hand instead of taping things off. Not to mention this made the manicure quick and easy...
And of course here is how it looks in the dark! Love it!
