Brandon Hilton Shows His Fans He's "So Ready"!

Dallas-native pop artist, Brandon Hilton, is readying the release of a brand new album less than a year after his last effort, Nocturnal, which received an "average" rating from me this past summer. While the production on the album was top notch, I criticized some of the artist's vocal performances on a couple of the tracks, saying that more time was needed to allow the vocals to be developed so they could flow more effortlessly. The album was fun and unique, featured some great songwriting abilities, but as a whole it just fell a little flat. Hilton, however, has not slowed down since the album's release and may be even taking some of my advice and letting his voice come off more natural and less altered by playing down the AutoTune usage on his upcoming single.
After the single releases of "One" and "Set Fire to the Night," some pretty decent efforts, Hilton is showing his fans a different side of his artistic and musical abilities. Hilton is dropping all AutoTune effects to let his true voice shine on "So Ready," a track whose demo version was attached to the end of Nocturnal only as a bonus track, something that really disappointed me. But now the track gets a second chance at life and a huge makeover as well. Co-written with Nate Bosley (Selena Gomez and Miley Cyrus), the track can be perceived in many ways, the main theme being a sexualized experience, a reason I gravitated towards it. The writing is amazing and the lyrics stay in my mind long after the song finishes.
Hilton states that the song is "about having a good time, partying, and being so ready to go that you can't take it anymore. It could also be sexually related too, it's all in how you perceive it!" The single will be available everywhere March 13, but the artist could not wait to share the track's development and progression. A few weeks ago a remix was released through Hilton's SoundCloud account and it got me excited as well as on my feet, an interesting promotional tactic. The performance suits the artist way more than the robotic voice that dominated his last album. If Hilton wants to be taken more seriously as an artist than he is making the right choices. I'm hoping for more tracks just like "So Ready" on Hilton's upcoming record. Also, the artist is currently planning his first tour, so get ready. I know he better come to the great city of Austin, Texas... Just saying.

Listen to the "So Ready" remix below. What do you think?
